Boy playing

Marjorie Fisher will be coordinating the Children’s Program at Synod. It is for children from birth though elementary school. If you have any questions or concerns about the Children’s Program this year, please reach out to marjorie@allsaintslb.com.

The Children’s Program runs concurrently with the Clergy Gathering and the Clergy and Laity Gathering

The Children’s Program will start out each day with a shortened version of Morning Prayer and then there will be time for the participants to play, do art, read, or participate in other provided activities. There will also be times throughout the day where the children will gather and do a Bible story and discussion that relates in an age-appropriate manner to the theme of Synod. The children will also have a morning and afternoon snack.

Your children will be cared for by individuals who have completed the Diocesan Safe Ministry training and there will always be a minimum of two adult volunteers in the room.

If there is a chance your child might have an accident during the program, please bring a change of clothes in a labeled bag. If your child has any allergies, please inform the Children’s Program volunteers and provide your own snacks if your child is unable to eat items such as goldfish, Cheerios, and fruit snacks.

A Note on Dropping off and Picking up Your Children

We take the health and safety of our children seriously. All volunteers have completed the Diocesan Safe Ministry training and we adhere to the ratio standards set forth by the Diocese.

For that reason, all children must be picked up/dropped off by a parent or designated adult and contact information for the parent(s) must be provided on the sign-in/sign-out sheet. No child will be allowed to wander the grounds unsupervised. If a child needs to leave the children's area for any reason, a volunteer will accompany them or request a parent/designated adult to come if the volunteer is unable to leave due to ratio.
